Never tried line dancing before?
Don't worry — everyone starts somewhere, and at Stardust you'll never be expected to know the steps before you arrive.
Our beginner classes are designed to be friendly, relaxed and easy to follow. I'll guide you through each dance step by step, explaining everything clearly so you can learn at your own pace.
Whether you're coming on your own, with a friend or as a couple, you'll receive a warm welcome from both myself and our wonderful Stardust dancers.

Just bring yourself, comfortable clothes, suitable shoes and a smile!
Every new dance is broken down into small sections before we dance it together with the music.
We'll revisit dances regularly too, helping you build confidence week by week.
If you ever forget a step, don't worry—we've all been there!

Many people tell me they were nervous before their first class.
Within minutes they realise everyone is there for exactly the same reason...
To have fun.
You'll never be expected to perform on your own. If you're ever unsure, simply ask. Our friendly dance assistants are usually available to help, and I'll always do my best to make sure everyone feels comfortable and confident.
Our classes are known for being welcoming, encouraging and full of laughter.

Although country music is a big part of what we do, you'll also dance to classics, modern hits and plenty of songs you'll already know and love.

Monday Afternoon – Somercotes
Beginner & High Beginner
A friendly, progressive class for dancers who are ready to build on their beginner skills and enjoy a wider variety of dances. From October 2026, this class will also feature a monthly Spotlight Dance - introducing an extra dance to help you continue progressing and gradually take on a little more challenge.
Tuesday Evening - Codnor
Beginner
A friendly and welcoming class, ideal for new dancers and those building their confidence with the basic steps and beginner-level dances.
NEW - Wednesday Afternoon - Somercotes
Beginners - Starting 7th October 2026
1-2pm
A brand new daytime class where you can enjoy a great mix of line dances in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Build your confidence, develop your dancing skills and most importantly, have fun.
No experience necessary. No partner needed.
Wednesday Evening – South Normanton
IA fun and friendly beginner class where you'll enjoy a wide variety of dances, building your confidence while developing your skills one step at a time.
Thursday Evening – Hilcote
A progressive beginner class for dancers looking to build their skills and confidence with a wide range of dances. This class also features out monthly Spotlight Dance - an extra dance to introduce something a little different and provide an enjoyable extra challenge.
