You will be doing some dances you know, especially to start with. However, you'll be encouraged to move more and move with the movements that suit your body, this will be much gentler on muscle groups and can make you more flexible as well as making the dances more of a (comfortable) workout and looking good too!
When we do the more rigid steps, you can come away and really ache the next day - sometimes even a little painful. When we make sure that the movements flow, inflammation levels go down and the exercise you are doing will then become more beneficial.
Stardust Dance Fever aims to do away with the rigid - we will still be line dancing - to a limit in the fact that the sequences will be repeated and the steps will be taught and of course they can be danced in lines - no rules regarding movement( as long as safe) which suits you. This is key to your enjoyment and to get benefit from dancing, it should not hurt. We can work on any movements that may do and either change them for you or we can alter it slightly to allow you time to work on the step in class and at home without hurting yourself until it comes easy for you.
