What should I wear to my line dance class?
In brief - anything you are comfortable in and sensible boots or shoes.

Clothing

It is important that you feel comfortable and confident in what you are wearing so that you can fully enjoy the experience of dancing.

I would recommend that you dress in lightweight clothing which you can wear in layers and remove them if you get too warm.

Avoid any clothing items that could cause you to trip. Stretchy leggings or jeans are a good option, as are skirts, shorts, etc.
The key is to choose clothing that will allow you to move comfortably and safely while still expressing your preferred style.

You can, if you like, embrace your inner cowgirl or cowboy and dress the part!

Footwear

The following is a guide regarding suitable footwear for class.

It is recommended that you bring your dancing shoes with you, if possible. This ensures a nice, dry and clean surface to dance upon.

Cowboy boots, dance shoes, trainers, or low heeled full shoes are good. Remember comfort. If you buy cowboy boots for example, it is important to note that they can take weeks and even months to break in, so wear something else while you're waiting.

Trainers with a lot of grip may make dancing more difficult. To test the grip of your trainers or sneakers, try turning in them. If you are able to turn and swivel with ease and a little resistance, then they should be fine.

No slip-ons (with open backs), no loose/ill-fitting shoes, no stilettos/high heels, no slippers, no flip flops, no bare feet. slip-ons (with open backs), no loose/ill-fitting shoes, no stilettos/high heels, no slippers, no flip flops, no bare feet.
